Weston

Weston

A tight-knit community and rural beauty where the essence of suburban serenity is nestled within the town’s tranquil charm.

Welcome to Weston

Nestled in the hills of Connecticut’s Fairfield County, Weston is a bucolic retreat where stone walls and glistening streams line country roads and privacy is a way of life. Far-sighted town officials instituted two-acre zoning in the 1950s, thereby preserving the country atmosphere for the wide variety of lovely homes sheltered within Weston’s green quietude, ranging from restored farmhouses to dramatic contemporaries to new shingle-style colonial homes.

Incorporated in 1787, Weston has four historic districts and the town has successfully preserved its historic appearance. One-third of the town is dedicated to open space including Devil’s Den Nature Preserve, a remarkable 1,756-acre preserve with nature conservancy programs and hiking on over 20 miles of trails. Additional land trusts, the 52-acre Scribner Park, country fairs, and a host of organized recreational activities exist. Weston residents also have access to the spectacular waterfront recreational facilities of Compo Beach in Westport. Weston occupies 20 square miles and has a population of 10,037. Weston residents enjoy a top-rated school system, where small class sizes, a wide range of activities, and opportunities for independent and overseas study enrich a superior curriculum. Weston residents have access to all of the cultural amenities of Westport, its sister city to the south, including the Westport Country Playhouse, Westport Arts Center, and the Westport-Weston YMCA.
